Algeria

CIM’s strategic activities in Algeria take place within the development policy priority areas agreed between Germany and Algeria. These areas are:

• economic reform and development of the market system
• sustainable integrated resource management in the water and environment sectors.

During the civil war, CIM had to discontinue its activities in Algeria.  Since 2004, it has been rebuilding its programme there in close consultation and networked with other German development cooperation organisations.  

GTZ supports CIM in implementing its programme on the ground.
