CIM’s strategic activities in Azerbaijan take place mainly in the development policy priority areas agreed between Azerbaijan and Germany. These areas are:

• sustainable economic development
• democracy, civil society and public administration
• energy and the environment.

With the Returning Experts Programme, CIM also supports Azerbaijani experts returning to Azerbaijan after studying, undertaking vocational training or working in Germany.
