CIM’s strategic activities in Vietnam take place mainly in the development policy priority areas agreed between Vietnam and Germany. These areas are:

• economic reform
• health
• the environment.

CIM is working to intensify future cooperation with Vietnam, especially in environmental policy and in the protection and sustainable use of natural resources.  

GTZ supports CIM in the implementation of its programmes on the ground and cooperates closely with CIM experts.  

With the Returning Experts Programme, CIM also supports, as it has for years, numerous Vietnamese experts returning to Vietnam after studying, undertaking vocational training or working in Germany. They work, for example, as university instructors on technical and agricultural faculties.
