Mongolia

CIM’s strategic activities in Mongolia take place mainly in the development policy priority areas agreed between Mongolia and Germany. These areas are: 

• sustainable economic development 
• environmental policy, protection of natural resources, renewable energies, energy efficiency.

CIM is working to intensify future cooperation, particularly in development of the financial sector in rural areas.

GIZ supports CIM in the implementation of its programmes on the ground and cooperates closely with CIM experts, for instance, in the programmes

• training power plant staff
• promotion of organised self-help in rural areas.

With the Returning Experts Programme, CIM also supports Mongolian experts returning to Mongolia after studying, undertaking vocational training or working in Germany.
